Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Sabah (DID) is headed by a State Director and assisted by a Deputy Director. There are 6 sections based in its Head Office in Kota Kinabalu and 3 in its Inanam Complex. The sections are

5. Administration Section
6. Accounts Section
7. Mechanical Services Section
8. Water Resources Management Section
9. Hydrology and Survey Section

The State of Sabah is divided into 12 DID administrative regions, each is administered by a DID District Engineer. Its Head Office is located in Kota Kinabalu, the State Capital, and regional offices are located in Kudat, Kota Marudu and Kota Belud in the north; Tuaran, Ranau, Penampang and Papar in the West Coast Central; Beaufort in the south; Tambunan and Keningau in the interior and Sandakan and Tawau, in the East Coast.
